What really makes this rig deadly is the spacing. The distance between the treble and the J hook isn’t random — it’s tuned for natural presentation and solid hookups.

Rig it like this:
• Insert the J-hook through the nose/nostril of your baitfish.
• Set the treble along the back.

Pro Tip: Don’t rig it tight. Leave a slight natural bend in the bait so it swims freely and looks alive.

Place the J-Hook into the nostrils of the bait fish to allow the baitfish to swim freely whether freellining, drifting or slow trolling. This hook allows for a natural presentation to game fish, while the trailing treble reduces short strikes and increases your hook up ratio.

Place the trailing treble hook down into the baitfish along the back or underside. Remember most fish typically come up from under or behind the bait to strike, so place your treble hook accordingly.

Be sure not to attach this to tight as you want the baitfish to swim naturally and not be affected by the wire.
